Morning Lane Photography - Paul Charest

by Meg on March 24, 2008

“Since 1987 Paul Charest has worked to set himself apart, creating portraits that are distinctive and artistic.” - Morning Lane Photography
…and Mia and John are so lucky to have him capture their day! We went up to meet with Paul today and go over the details :) Paul’s Studio is located right on Main Street in Berlin, NH and what a great studio space upstairs (not photographed) and storefront. VERY tall antique tin ceilings, beautiful detail and views out each side of this 80 foot long building! Mia and Paul tell stories right before we left in the main part of his store front, I think we could have all talked longer, Paul is very easy to get along with and I’m excited for him to meet all the Wall-one’s (Whally & Simone’s) - Posted by Maid of Honor, Meghan

Spring into Wedding Season! "Search Party" The Band, Live at Church Landing

by Meg on March 22, 2008

I love this time of the year… people finalizing details and meeting vendors for upcoming summer and fall weddings. I love explaining what goes on with the edit process, and ultimately it’s up to you, as I can provide any style of coverage and any kind of editing… but the question came up: “How do you transition from one thing to another?” ie the ceremony to cocktail hour…. Andrew and Elizabeth Manning from a 12/29/07 Church Landing wedding gave the thumbs up for a few clips on the blog. Here are a few short clips, I love that they chose DMB for some of their music :) It was Powerful!
This is just a few seconds from the entire transition, but you can see it just takes a few key shots to bridge that time frame.

A few short clips of “Search Party” The Band from the Manning Wedding.

You can see they play a little bit of everything!

The Dance footage was important to Elizabeth & Andrew so while they didn’t do a “formal” cake cutting, I quickly captured what they were missing on the dance floor… is that a little 80’s music I hear in there! 867-5309…..

Dutch Bloemen Winkel: Flowers for Weddings and Special Events

by Meg on March 12, 2008

Yesterday I visited florist Carrie Scribner at the Dutch Bloemen Winkel in Jackson, NH.  I had not yet visited her new creative space.  If you haven’t found a florist for your wedding yet, you owe it to yourself to call Carrie (603-383-9696).  Her flare, talent, and eye for flowers is a true art form. Have a look at her online gallery of wedding photos! The Dutch Bloemen Winkel also won the “Best of NH 2006, Editors Pick for Exotic Flowers” We are so lucky to have her talent here in the Mount Washington Valley!

AJ & Kim: White Mountain Hotel Wedding

by Meg on March 10, 2008

I haven’t yet taken the opportunity to show how I send out the final DVDs. When you book my services (after the wedding) you first get a “proof DVD”, then the final DVD’s have custom labels and covers. I like to use photos of your choice (you can submit after the wedding) and items from your wedding whenever possible as this is a reflection of what you have already created. I don’t want to create a DVD cover in Pink and Brown, if your colors are Orange, Purple, and Green, and use a font unrelated to what you may have already chosen for your wedding invitations. I want this to be part of your memory box for the day, something that compliments your vision.

Pink Ribbon Jibbin’ To Raise Money for Breast Cancer Awareness

by Meg on March 1, 2008

John Brown Rips it up in the terrain Park! I was making a sponsorship video for this up and coming twin tip enthusiast last year and John also participated in the Pink Ribbon Jibbin event at Cranmore Mountain: “Skiers, boarders…anyone, come show your support for breast cancer research and grab a chance to slide the infamous Smith Limo under the lights and take home some serious prizes. Proceeds go to a great cause…for sure.”
