Night Photography Brings Feeling to Each Shot

by Meg on February 23, 2007

In my opinion photographing a house a night brings much more feeling to each shot.

You can see the lighting detail, the ambient glow of each room which makes a home so inviting.

If I know the house has great views, I will do both day and night shots - but hitting it right as the sun goes down gives you the best of both worlds.

Since I just started my Blog a few weeks ago, I’m going to slowly add my work on line - I have been doing Real Estate Photography weekly since Oct. 2005, so I have a lot of prints that have been used in post cards, newsprint, online at Boston.com, and in Magazines like the Robb Report, 2nd Home, Antique Homes, and other NE Publications.

Brian Post Photographs Alexander Wedding

by Meg on February 18, 2007

It was a fun day out on the sled hill and Brian caught me bundled up with my new Canon GL2 which is a great addition to the studio. The GL2 is my second camera, as I film all weddings with the XL1S.

I finished a night shoot at a new log home in Brownfield, ME. Here is the post card they are using with the images they selected. I must say the custom detail on the interior was most impressive. To learn more about my Real Estate Photography send me an email meg@megsimone.com

Valentines Day = Engagements = WEDDINGS!
Referrals are a large part of my business. Don’t
wait, call for availability left in 2007 soon.

We are thoroughly enjoying our first real storm of the season. The skiing was deep at Wildcat today! Fresh tracks all day!

I bet Katie and Ash Alexander (newly weds from this past weekends wedding in Johnstown, NY) would be excited, as they had a complete snow theme at their celebration. Even the wedding cake was a female and male snowperson. There must have been 600 home made snowflakes hanging from the ceiling of the lodge all made with beads! AMAZING work from mother of the bride, Bonnie, who I think had the most fun on the toboggan! See the below photo of Katie, Ash, and Bonnie. The sled was a wedding present. It was a beautiful Friday/Sat wedding and the guests enjoyed sledding and fun all Saturday. Did I mention that Katie rode into the church on her horse! It was a perfect winter wedding. I had never been to Johnstown/Gloversville but the drive over through Vermont was beautiful and it’s always a great adventure to see another part of our country.

I will travel for weddings, don’t forget to check out my wedding site, megsimone.com
